The City of Pakrac proudly announces the grand opening of the Spahijski podrum Visitor Center , the first hybrid museum-library space in Croatia, and a unique place that connects the cultural heritage, education, art and tradition of the wine region into one contemporary and inspiring space.
The opening of this important cultural project will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 years. The festive program for guests begins at 11 am, while from 2 pm the doors of the Spahija Cellar will be open to all citizens and visitors.
Spahija Cellar – World of Graševina treasury
This impressive Baroque building, a protected immovable cultural asset and a symbol of Pakrac’s history, is today becoming a modern social, cultural, tourist and educational center . Thanks to the “World of Graševina” project, the Spahija Cellar intertwines museum and library activities, heritage interpretation, wine stories and rich local gastronomy.
The project is co-financed by the European Union in the total value of 8,729,448.53 EUR, and the project is implemented by the City of Pakrac. In addition, the project was jointly implemented by numerous partners, including the City of Pleternica, Požega-Slavonia County, Pakrac City Museum, Pakrac Public Library, Požega-Slavonia County Tourist Board, Pleternica Public Institution, and with technical support from the Panora Development Agency.

The permanent exhibition of the Pakrac City Museum , the first of its kind, which presents the city’s rich heritage through stories about people, crafts, industry and history.

The library in a new look , with interpretive islands, a wine and local history collection, and a thematic exhibition “Secrets of the City Library”

Exhibition about the wine tradition of the Pakrac region – “The World of Graševina in Pakrac”
